Journey to Eternity

She climbed the hill, or was it a mountain-she couldn’t tell anymore. She was so weary, so beaten, so worn out, but she kept climbing. Her friend had assured her there was rest at the top; at this point, she would try anything just to find a moment of peace. She had been in turmoil for so long. She wasn’t even sure she remembered what peace felt like, but she knew it wasn’t this. There just had to be more. Surely living in such despondency was not what life was meant to be. She worried even more about what she must look like. If the outside looked anything like the inside, she was frazzled and frayed. She was blackened from the dirt and grime she had stumbled through and her hair must truly be a sight; she was a mess. She had made too many mistakes to even try to keep count of anymore. She only hoped this man would help her the way her friend promised he would. She wasn’t so confident about it. If he knew all, there was no way he could overlook it. There was no way he would help this

Time Consuming

Sorry, it's been a while since I posted anything. I just seem to be so busy lately. Maybe that is what inspired this post! D Time-consuming,” the term conjures images of things that fritter away our time; things like dishes and laundry, carpool lines and homework. Those tedious activities we do that seem to have no real value. We think of things that devour our time and take away precious moments that could be used to do “more important things.” But what if we stopped complaining of things being time consuming and found ways to use our time consuming the things of God? What if we spent more time consuming God’s word? More time consuming God’s presence? More time consuming God’s blessings? Imagine using our time to devour the bread of life instead of allowing time to devour lives? We could consume our time doing dishes and laundry by thanking our Heavenly Father for meeting our basic needs. We could consume our time in carpool lines and homework by praying God’s protection and w
